Work History
Student Lead Climbing Program at the University of Washington: 2018 – March 2020
Instructing advanced, technical, skills courses, leading trainings for new employees, assisting in hiring, training new climbing instructors.

Series Writer, The Daily at the University of Washington: 2018 – 2019
Covered events on sexual assault prevention, climate change, women’s rights, domestic and international inequality issues, sustainability and food systems. To learn more about this coverage, click here.
I have also served food, taught swim lessons, and worked for ~4 years as a lifeguard. I have mopped floors, served drunk people at 1am, cleaned up locker rooms, closed tills at 11 pm on schoolnights and provided remote first aid. I think it's worth mentioning these jobs: my experiences in customer service did have an edifying effect on my worldview, and I feel proud of the work I've done and everything I've earned. I know that I will never take these "unskilled" jobs--and the workers that complete them--for granted.
