Reflecting on my Internship with Sustainable Seattle
During the Fall of my Sophomore Year, I applied to UW's Undergraduate Community-Based Internship Program. After a few rounds of the application process, I was placed as an intern at Sustainable Seattle. I worked with the organization for about five and a half months, learned about Seattle's history, its challenges in fostering equity, and about some of the challenges nonprofits face.
I presented about the lessons I learned about equity, the non-profit world and urban planning at a 2019 UW event showcasing service projects completed by UW students
